鉻鐵礦粉具有較好的低溫和高溫增摩效果，也能起到清掃對(duì)偶的作用。添加于橡膠能起到很好的增摩作用，而不刮傷對(duì)偶和產(chǎn)生噪音。在摩擦材料中常用的鉻鐵礦粉的cr203，含量為25%-40%，cr203含量越高，增摩效果也越大。使用時(shí)應(yīng)注意控制其用量和粒徑。合宜的用量應(yīng)不超過7%，粒徑細(xì)度在200目以上。過多的用量和過粗的粒徑固然能提高摩擦系數(shù)但也會(huì)導(dǎo)致摩損明顯增大。
